In the heart of redevelopment
Agenti Climatici will place a large linear wood in the very centre of the site, capable of both cooling down hot winds blowing from the south-west and cleaning the air of any toxic particles. Nature to the fore, of course, but so much more. Featuring a balanced combination of zero impact active and passive energy sources, Farini Station will accommodate, among other things, bars, restaurants, residential facilities, social housing and the Brera Academy, places for promoting culture and spaces allocated for new kinds of urban manufacturing. The currently fragmented greenery will be stitched back together and enhanced by new public and private services. The link between nature and infrastructure and the possibility of combining different usages will add something extra, an invaluable contribution to the evolution of a changing city.

A strategically evolving location to the north of Milan, B7 has been developed in an attractive setting right in the middle of a highly accessible area. Maciachini M3 underground railway station, Lancetti station on the Milan’s main railway link and lots of overground means of transport are just a few minutes away on foot. Agenti Climatici is a project designed by the OMA team headed by Rem Koolhaas and Laboratorio Permanente led by Nicola Russi and Angelica Sylos Labini, asssited by Philippe Rahm Architectes, specialists in meteorological architecture, Vogt Landscape Architects, Ezio Micelli, an expert in urban policies, Temporiuso Cultural Association, and the companies Arcadis and Net Engineering, experts in sustainability and transport issues.
Because building the city of the future is a collective process.
